This is YlvasCorner

Originally from Sweden, I moved to the UK in 2001, and settling in Scotland in 2011. I started with jewellery around the same time, and am mainly self taught.

My name is Ylva, and I love gemstones.

I started around 2011 with jewellery making, simply stringing gems onto beading wire. I then learned a bit of macrame which is still a love. My first attempts at wireweaving were a disaster, but after a break and watching some instructional videos I realised what I was doing wrong, and I have loved it since. It is now my favourite thing to do.

I have managed to amass quite a collection of gemstones of all kinds, from clear quarts to sapphire and diamond. I absolutely LOVE jaspers and agates with their unique patterns. I mainly work with natural gemstones, some dyed gemstones, genuine Swarowski, and to a small extent manmade stones.

Some techniques
I can offer;

Pearl knotting

I am available to teach small workshops in the basics of the above techniques. If you want to make a simple silver ring or copper bangle for example, feel free to get in touch and it can be arranged.
